Quarantine Creativity

Continuing to search for glimmers of hope and positivity in the center of the crisis, one area that’s for certain glimmering is at-home imagination. I know from seeing the numbers out of a number of USV’s portfolio companies from the”founder” area that creative activity is way up.

This is one case which just floored me. My daughter’s best friend is at the Boston Children’s Chorus and they just released this Gorgeous video performance:

Not only is it a fantastic and uplifting way to express creativity during a dark time, I’d argue that this is better — more beautiful, with much greater reach — compared to a live performance, or certainly a conventional video of a live performance could have been.

So I’m encouraged that not only are we seeing creativity blossom at which it can, I think we are going to see brand new types of expression emerge from this crisis.

This seems like one little bright spot to focus on this morning.
